Disney’s annual D23 fan event is set to take place on Saturday, August 10, and it seems like there are some exciting Fortnite announcements in store. Back in February, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the company had made a significant investment of over $1 billion in Epic Games, the developers behind Fortnite. Iger described this as Disney’s “biggest foray into the game space ever,” promising a wide range of opportunities for fans to play, watch, shop, and engage with content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more.

The D23 panel will be hosted by Josh D’Amaro, the chief of parks and experiences, along with some surprise special guests whose identities are being kept secret for now. The event will be live-streamed from the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase exclusively in Fortnite on August 10 at 7:30 p.m. Arizona Time.

If you’ve noticed a mysterious countdown in Fortnite as Chapter 5 Season 3 comes to an end, it’s likely leading up to the special collaboration announcement with Fortnite during the D23 event on August 10. Don’t worry if you can’t catch the event live, as Fortnite will have the livestream available for playback until August 16.
